Euro: Skoda Auto to close Polish plant, move to Czech Republic
The on-line version of Euro magazine reported this week that the car maker Skoda Auto is thinking of closing its assembly plant in Poland and moving production to the Czech Republic. Skoda, part of the Volkswagen Group, said the justification for staying in Poland had disappeared following Warsaw's cancellation of high tariffs on car imports. Skoda said a final decision had yet to be taken on the issue.
