Ukraine's Interfax news agency reported on Wednesday that the Czech government was considering taking delivery of military cargo aircraft built jointly by Russia and Ukraine, as part of Russia's debt repayment scheme. Interfax cited "informed sources in Kiev" as saying Ukraine's Antonov aircraft manufacturer was in the latter stages of discussion on selling three turboprop aircraft to the Czech Republic, which would deduct the value of the aircraft from the outstanding 2.5 billion dollar debt owed by Moscow to Prague. Russia would compensate Ukraine for its share of the production costs.
