Urban preservationists meet in Prague for international conference
The theme of urban environmental preservation has been the focus of an international conference held in Prague this week. One hundred and fifty international experts and one hundred of their Czech colleagues met in Prague's Municipal House for lectures and discussions as part of the Natura Megapolis conference. Dr. Jane Smart, the executive director of the charity preservation organisation Plantlife in the UK, which specialises in plant preservation in urban environments, was one of the speakers at the session on Thursday. Radio Prague's Nick Carey spoke to Dr. Smart and asked her first of all how serious the situation is for plant life in European towns and cities.
