Nine-hundred more Ukrainians receive temporary protection
The Czech Republic on Friday granted temporary protection to another 900 refugees from Ukraine, a fall of over 100 on the same day a week earlier. A total of 375,566 special visas have been handed out to Ukrainians fleeing Russia’s war on their country since it began in late February.
The minister of the interior, Vít Rakušan, says around 75 or 80 percent of the refugees who have registered with the local authorities have remained in the Czech Republic.
