The damage caused by last week’s torrential rain to the Prague State Opera house will not endanger the opening of the new theatre season this weekend, Tomáš Staněk, spokesman for the National Theatre, told the ctk news agency. He said clean-up work in the wake of flooding was still underway and would  take several more weeks, but everything was under control and the season would start as planned. He said it was too soon for a realistic damage estimate but it was likely to be tens of millions of crowns.
