New coordinator for bitcoin scandal announced

As of Thursday, lawyer and former constitutional judge David Uhlíř has become the coordinator for clarifying the bitcoin case. He will serve as an external advisor to the Ministry of Justice. First, he plans to familiarize himself with the timeline of the case and focus on assigning an audit of the ministry's procedures. After a meeting with representatives from the coalition and the opposition Pirates, Uhlíř and Minister Eva Decroix shared this information with journalists. Pirate MP Jakub Michálek stated that he disagreed with Uhlíř's appointment and the assignment of the audit to an external company, suggesting that the case should instead be handled by the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) and experts from the Moneyval committee.
