NATO Days continue in Mošnov after drawing 100,000 on opening day
NATO Days in Ostrava continue this Sunday with the second and final day at Mošnov Airport. On Saturday, the show drew up to 100,000 visitors, and big crowds are expected again today.
The event is Europe’s largest security showcase, with military, police, and rescue units presenting their skills and equipment. Admission is free, and visitors come for both the static displays and the dramatic ground and air demonstrations.
Today’s program opened with a parachute jump by the RAF Falcons, an elite British team. Highlights include aerobatic flying displays. This year’s special partner nation is Italy, featuring the AV-8B+ Harrier in flight and the rare two-seat TAV-8B Harrier on the ground.
