MPs to vote on 2023 budget on October 30

The Chamber of Deputies should vote on a draft state budget for 2023 at a session that begins on October 29, most likely on Wednesday October 30, the Czech News Agency reported on Saturday, citing an approved budget discussion schedule.

The budget for 2022 was not passed until March this year, because of the change of government that occurred in late 2021.

The draft budget for next year envisages a deficit of CZK 295 billion.

A deficit of CZK 280 billion was approved for this year; however, it is set to be increased to CZK 375 billion.
