Movie star Chris Hemsworth supports Czech collection in aid of Ukraine

Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, known for his role of Thor in the popular Marvel movies, made a promotional video in support of the SOS Ukraine fundraiser set up by the Czech NGO People in Need shortly after the start of the Russian invasion, the daily Hospodářské noviny reported on Thursday.

Czech donors have so far sent almost CZK 1.6 billion to the SOS Ukraine account. People in Need has also set up a website where people can donate money in foreign currencies to help Ukraine.

In the first month of the war, a quarter of a billion crowns worth of aid went to the embattled country through the Czech NGO.
