Ministry proposes more tanks be modernised in Czechia for Ukraine
The Czech Ministry of Defence is proposing that tens more tanks modernised in Czechia be delivered to Ukraine. Ukraine has already received 37 armoured fighting vehicles modernised in this country in a project funded by the US and the Netherlands and is due to get 90.
The Ministry of Defence announced the news on its website after a meeting of a contact defence group at a US air base in Germany’s Ramstein on Friday. It added that Czechia was prepared to discuss establishing a centre to maintain and repair Ukraine heavy military equipment at the state enterprise VOP in Moravia and a number of private companies.
