Ministry plans to change function of “Covid app” Tečka

The Ministry of Health plans to change the function of the Tečka application, which originally served as proof of vaccination against Covid-19, Czech Television reported on Tuesday. Officials want to turn the app, which has been downloaded by over six million people, into an electronic ID card containing patients’ medical documentation.

In future Tečka could be used to remind patients to get different jabs, as well as informing them of the opening hours of health facilities.

It is no longer required to prove Covid vaccination in Czechia.
