Minister: Tighter Covid restrictions may start Sunday
The Czech minister of health, Jan Blatný, says stricter measures aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus could come in from Sunday, not Friday as previously suggested. Mr. Blatný said this would give people a chance to meet relatives at Christmas.
The Czech Republic’s Covid-19 risk index has been in the bracket for the fifth and highest level on the government’s system of restrictions for five days. The cabinet will on Wednesday discuss a possible move from the current level four, which has been in place since Friday last week.
