Mikuláš Minář’s People PRO ceases activities

People PRO, a political party formed by the former head of protest group Million Moments for Democracy, Mikuláš Minář, is ceasing its activities. The news was announced on Wednesday by another senior member of the grouping, ex-Transparency International Czech branch chief David Ondráčka. People PRO was founded in December. It set itself the target of collecting half a million signatures but in the end amassed fewer than 40,000.

Mr. Minář said he would now support other opposition parties in general elections in October
