Migration Pact alone not enough, says Czech interior minister
The European Union’s Migration Pact is insufficient to address migration challenges, additional measures are needed, Czech Interior Minister Vít Rakušan (Mayors and Independents) said after a meeting of the Salzburg Forum interior ministers in Valtice on Friday. He called for the creation of so-called return hubs for migrants, potentially outside the EU’s territory, and emphasized the need for fast and efficient returns. Cooperation with third countries to tackle the root causes of migration is also essential, he added.
