Meteorologists warn of heavy snow in mountains in eastern Czech Republic

Meteorologists have warned that up to 30 centimetres of fresh snow is expected in the Krkonoše and Jizerské mountains in eastern Czech Republic on Sunday evening and Monday. The warning is in place for places above 700 metres of altitude. Meanwhile, heavy rain is expected across the country which can turn into snow. Meteorologists also warn that wet snow can damage trees and raise water levels on rivers. Drivers have been advised to exercise extra caution and follow traffic news updates.
