Menšík reaches first Grand Slam semi-final at Roland Garros

Czech tennis player Jakub Menšík has reached a Grand Slam semi-final for the first time in his career. The 20-year-old from Prostějov defeated Brazil's 19-year-old João Fonseca 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 in the Roland Garros quarter-finals on the clay courts of Paris on Tuesday.

Menšík will face world No. 3 Alexander Zverev in Friday's semi-final. Zverev advanced after beating Spain's Rafael Jódar 7-6, 6-1, 6-3.
