In memoriam: Luboš Andršt, guitarist who made an indelible mark on Czech jazz and art-rock
Today’s Sunday Music Show pays tribute to the Czech blues, jazz and art-rock guitarist Luboš Andršt, who died last Sunday at the age of 73. Andršt started playing in the 1960s and produced over a dozen solo albums over his career. He collaborated with leading local musicians such as Michal Prokop, Martin Kratochvíl and Emil Viklický. Since the 1990s he mainly performed with his own ensemble, the Luboš Andršt Blues Band. He also performed with international stars such as Paul Jones, Dana Gillespie and B.B. King.
