Medical worker Covid vaccine register to open Tuesday

A national system under which medical workers can register for Covid-19 vaccinations is due to launch on Tuesday. However, in view of the shortage of vaccines, it will mainly serve for registration purposes – not to set concrete dates on which doctors, nurses and other medical staff will receive the jab, a Ministry of Health spokesperson said.

All of the country’s residents were to have been able to apply for a vaccine from February 1, under previously announced government plans. This is not now possible, Prime Minister Andrej Babiš said on Sunday, citing a lack of vaccines.
