Match fixing remains big problem in Czech football

Match fixing remains a big problem in Czech football, national broadcaster Czech Television reported.  According to figures obtained by its reporters, close to 300 complaints were made in the last six years about suspicious matches, which indicates one fixed match a week on average. The Czech Football Association, which has been fighting the betting mafia for years, says it is particularly concerned about match fixing in the third league, and in various youth competitions, where it really has a big impact on the morale of young players. In international statistics on match fixing the Czech Republic is in the top ten states, where this is perceived as a long standing problem.
