Man charged with murder folowing Thursday’s machete attack

Czech Police have charged a 19-year-old man of murdering a teacher in Thursday’s machete attack which took place in Prague, the Czech News Agency reports. The defendant could face between 12 to 20 years of jail time if convicted.

The spokesman of the High Prosecutor’s Office in Prague said that the man has been preliminarily put behind bars in order to avoid him leaving the country or commit further criminal acts.
