Made in Prague festival closes in London with new Nicholas Winton biopic

The 27th edition of the Made in Prague festival closed in London on Sunday evening with a screening of the new film One Life, a historical drama and biopic about Nicholas Winton, who helped save hundreds of Czech Jewish children from the Nazis on the eve of World War II. Warner Brothers allowed the Czech Centre London to screen the film on the festival's closing night, although the film hasn't been officially released in British cinemas yet.

The film, starring Anthony Hopkins and Helena Bonham Carter, had its world premiere at this year's Toronto International Film Festival in September. It will have its theatrical release in the United Kingdom on 5 January 2024 and it will come to Czech cinemas in February 2024.

The multi-genre, several-week-long Made in Prague festival is an annual showcase of Czech culture organised by the Czech Centre London.
