Lucie Žáčková and Stanislav Majer win Thalia Awards for acting

The Thalia Awards in recognition of outstanding stage performances in Czech theatre in drama, opera, ballet, dance, musicals and related genres, were presented at a gala ceremony at Prague’s National Theatre on Saturday evening.

Lucie Žáčková  won the Thalia Award for best female performance in drama for her role as Anna in Komuna, staged by Prague's Činoherní klub.

The award for best male performance in drama went to Stanislav Majer of Prague's Divadlo X10 for his ten different roles in Amadoka.

The Thalia Awards for lifetime artistic achievement went to Brno actress and teacher Zdena Herfortová and veteran Činoherní klub actor Petr Nárožný.
