Kvitová reaches 40th final in Cincinnati
Petra Kvitová has reached the final of the Cincinnati Open after overcoming Madison Keys of the US 6-7 6-4 6-3. Sunday’s match will be the 40th elite WTA final of her career and victory would give the 32-year-old her 30th title.
The Czech two-time Wimbledon champion will face either Caroline Garcia of France or Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus; their semi-final was interrupted by rain.
Kvitová will return to women’s tennis world top 20 on Monday, when the latest rankings are published.
