Kvitová knocked out in quarter-finals in Adelaide
Czech tennis player Petra Kvitová has been knocked out in the quarter-finals of the Adelaide Open in Australia. The 32-year-old was beaten 3-6 6-7 on Thursday by the Russian player Daria Kasatkina.
Kvitová, a two-time winner of Wimbledon, is the top Czech women’s seed in next week’s Australian Open, at 15. Her first opponent in the Grand Slam competition will be Alison Van Uytvanck of the Netherlands.
