Krejčíková and Kvitová out of Wimbledon

Czech tennis players Barbora Krejčíková and Petra Kvitová both lost their third round matches in the Wimbledon women’s singles on Saturday, meaning that 23-year-old upset Marie Bouzková is the last Czech woman left in the tournament.

Barbora Krejčíková lost 6:2 4:6 3:6 to Australia’s Ajla Tomljanović. Meanwhile, two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitová saw her journey end against no. 4 seed Paula Badosa from Spain, losing 5:7 6:7. However, Krejčíková is still in the doubles part of the tournament together with her partner Kateřina Siniaková.
