Korea lures Czech investors

Korea is encouraging Czech companies to seek business ties in South Asia. The Korean government's Trade Investment Promotion Agency has invited Czech companies to participate in a trade mission to Seoul in the second half of May. The head of the Prague branch of the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency, Kim Seung-chul, said there was a wide range of opportunities for Czech companies to seek suppliers and partners in various industries, including consumer goods, IT and telecommunications, industrial machinery, textile production, chemicals and pharmaceuticals as well as autos.

Czech imports from South Korea increased by 50 percent year-on-year in January and February to 37 million USD, whereas Czech exports to Korea dropped 30 percent to 7 million dollars.
