Klaus Jr. quits Tricolour party and exits politics
Václav Klaus Jr. has announced that he is stepping down as leader of the Tricolour party and ceasing all public activities. The son of former president Václav Klaus wrote on social media that he had made the decision for mainly personal reasons, saying he did not have the energy to continue in politics.
Tricolour was founded in 2019 and does not have any seats in Parliament. Opinion polls suggest the grouping would not reach the threshold to enter the lower house.
