Karlovy Vary festival to honour late artistic director Eva Zaoralová
The upcoming Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will honour the late film historian and its long-time artistic director for Eva Zaoralová, her successor Karel Och said at a press conference on Tuesday.
As a tribute to Mrs Zaoralová, the programme will include Federico Fellini's The Road, which she herself described as crucial for her relationship to film.
The festival, whose 56th edition will begin on 1 July, will also commemorate Zaoralová with a photography exhibition. The organizers also unveiled the 33 films that will be screened in the festival’s competitions.
