Karel Pacner, only Czech to cover Apollo 11, moon landing from Cape Canaveral, dies at 85
Karel Pacner, an author who wrote mainly about outer space and modern history, has died at the age of 85. He was the only Czech journalist to follow the Apollo 11 mission and moon landing directly from Cape Canaveral in 1969.
Pacner wrote about 40 books and several TV series. He won awards from the Czech Film and Television Union (FITES) and the Czech Academy of Sciences.
