Justice Ministry issues apology to ex-mayor of Prague Tomáš Hudeček

The Ministry of Justice has issued an apology to Tomáš Hudeček, who was mayor of Prague from June 2013 to November 2014. The apology concerns what has been deemed an illegal criminal prosecution for Hudeček’s then alleged role in making sure the company Haguess was awarded the city’s tender for creating the Open Card public transport payment system. The judge who originally sentenced Mr. Hudeček and three other defendants has since been charged with manipulating the court protocol.

Mr. Hudeček said that he will be seeking compensation for damages.
