Jurečka: Incoming government to overturn compulsory vaccinations
The incoming government of Petr Fiala will do away with a new Ministry of Health decree imposing compulsory Covid vaccinations on the over 60s the over 60s and those working in certain professions, such as healthcare, the police or the fire service. Outgoing minister of health, Adam Vojtěch, said on Friday that the measure was due to come into effect from March next year.
However, Mr. Fiala’s candidate for minister of labour and social affairs, Marian Jurečka, said on Czech Television on Sunday that the new government would overturn it. If professional groups requested compulsory vaccinations the cabinet will heed their call, Mr. Jurečka said.
