July 2020 was the coldest in eight years

Last month was the coldest July in the Czech Republic in eight years.

The oldest Czech meteorological station at Prague’s Klementinum recorded an average temperature of 21.6 degrees Celsius, which is 0.8 degrees Celsius lower than the long-term average.

However, it still ranks among some of the warmest Julys since records began back in 1775.

The hottest day of this July was last Tuesday with an average temperature of 26.8 degrees Celsius.
