John Cale to perform at Prague’s Archa in March

John Cale is set to play at Prague’s Archa theatre on March 1 next year. The Welsh musician, one of the founders of key 1960s rock band The Velvet Underground, will be touring a new album, Mercy.

The booking comes as part of Archa’s final season and is in part inspired by the fact Cale performed during the venue’s opening in 1994.

The 80-year-old has performed in Prague numerous times since the early 1990s, most recently at the Metronome festival in 2018.
