Jágr sells 80% of Kladno Knights hockey club to businessman Drastil

Legendary hockey forward Jaromír Jágr has sold 80% of the Kladno hockey club to businessman Tomáš Drastil, while retaining a 20% stake, as confirmed at a press conference on Thursday. The fifty-two-year-old Jágr, who still plays for Kladno in the Czech Extraliga, became the 100% owner of the club in 2017, when he acquired a 30% stake from the city of Kladno.

Mr. Jágr held the majority stake in the club from 2011, when he and the city took it over, after his father, Jaromír Jágr Sr., ended his long-term position as head coach.
