Israeli Foreign Minister to meet with Lipavský and Vystrčil in Prague

The new Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar will visit Czechia on Thursday on his first official foreign trip. He will hold talks with his Czech counterpart Jan Lipavský at the Černín Palace in Prague to discuss the current situation in the Middle East and bilateral cooperation. In the afternoon, Sa’ar, who has been the head of Israeli diplomacy for less than a month, will also be received by the Speaker of the Senate Miloš Vystrčil.

Lipavský was the first foreign statesman to visit Israel after the terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7th last year. Since then, President Petr Pavel, Prime Minister Petr Fiala, Minister of Defence Jana Černochová and other leading Czech politicians have visited Israel. Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana arrived in Prague this July.
