Investigace.cz: Governments used Israeli technology to spy on journalists
A new research database from world media human rights groups accuses Israeli company NSO Group Ltd. of providing technology to governments that has been used to snoop on dozens of journalists, activists and lawyers and alleges that the product is linked to acts of violence including break-ins, harassment, intimidation and murder.
The media involved in the investigation, including the Czech news site investigace.cz, plan to publish the identities of the people who appeared on the list in the coming days. Among them are journalists from the world's leading media such as CNN, El País, The New York Times, Reuters, AFP or AP.
