Interior Ministry issues over 320,000 humanitarian visas to Ukrainian nationals

The Czech Interior Ministry has issued over 320,000 humanitarian visas to Ukrainian nationals in the past two months. On Sunday alone the authorities issued 1,238 visas, which is around 400 more than on the same day last week. Children under 15 are not required to register with the authorities. Two-thirds of the refugees who have come to the Czech Republic are women. According to the Interior Ministry, the Czech Republic has reached its limit in the number of refugees it can accommodate and together with Poland it has asked the EU for assistance in dealing with the challenge.
