Israel resumes full diplomatic ties with Austria

Israel has decided to resume full diplomatic relations with Austria. The announcement was made during a trip to Jerusalem by Austria's foreign Minister Benita Ferrero-Waldner. Israel withdrew its ambassador in 2000 after the far right Freedom Party joined a coalition government with the People's Party.

Security scare in Prague

Security has been stepped up in Prague following anonymous threats to poison water supplies in the Czech capital. Police are said to have taken appropriate action, but no details have been released.
