Image depicting Bucha atrocity wins Czech Press Photo

The 2022 edition of Czech Press Photo has been won by freelance photographer Vojtěch Dárvík Máca for an image entitled Massacre at Bucha. It is one of a series of photographs he took at Bucha and Iprin in Ukraine, where Russia carried out atrocities during its ongoing war against the country.

Some 6,000 works by 234 photographers were considered by an international jury in the 28th edition of the competition.

The winners are being shown in an exhibition that runs at the National Museum until the end of July.
