Illustrator and graphic designer Pavel Sukdolák dies aged 96

The well-known Czech illustrator and graphic designer Pavel Sukdolák has died at the age of 96, the Czech News Agency reported.

Sukdolák was considered one of the main representatives of Czech post-war graphic design. He illustrated several books and was the creator of many of the country’s postage stamps.

His illustrations received both Czech as well as international awards, such as the gold medal at the biennale in Florence in 1969.
