IKEM, Czech Academy of Sciences establish MediAim consortium to study serious diseases

The Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM) has established a joint scientific consortium to develop new drugs and treatments for serious diseases in partnership with the Academy of Sciences institutes of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, and of Physiology.

IKEM director Michal Stiborek said existing buildings and resources will be used to house and fund the new MediAim consortium, which will study cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases as well as diabetes and tumours.
