Ice Hockey: Czechs lose to Finland in World Championship quarter-finals

The Czech ice hockey team lost to Finland on Thursday evening at the World Championship quarter-finals in Riga, Latvia by a score of 0:1. The Czechs last won a medal in 2012, when they took home a bronze. The only goal was scored by striker Jere Innala.

Last year’s games were cancelled due to the coronavirus, making 2019 winners Finland the defending champions. They will face Germany in Saturday's semi-finals. The other contest is between the USA and Canada.
