Hungary's medical professionals divided over health reform

A major reform of Hungary's health system is underway. The system is under strain becaue the state cannot cover all the costs. The sums are pretty simple - 3 million 400 thousand people contribute something to health expenditure and 10 million Hungarians are entitled to a complete health service.

The government is moving towards an insurance based health service and at the same time trying to modernise hospitals. The result is many medical professionals becoming dissatisfied and leaving for greener pastures beyond Hungary's borders. Györgyi Jakobi spoke to a Budapest based consultant cardiologist Dr. Lajos Matos and asked him - is the profession divided over health reform?
