Hungary and Germany in talks on return of illegal waste

Hungary is up in arms about German waste - tonnes of it which have turned up at various sites around the country. Under EU law this is harmful industrial waste that should not be exported but dealt with in the country of origin. Hungarians are upset and an investigation is underway.

Questions are being asked about loopholes in the law and the need for stricter controls. Agi Varga of Radio Budapest spoke to Hungary's Environment Minister Miklos Persanyi.
