Hundreds gather in Prague to protest against coronavirus measures

Several hundred people gathered at Prague’s Malostranské Square on Wednesday morning to protest against the government’s measures to counter the coronavirus epidemic, including the use of so-called Covid certificates. The demonstration is organised by anti-lockdown MP Lubomír Volný’s group Volný blok (Free bloc) and the initiative Vraťme děti do školy (Let’s return children to schools).

Tens of demonstrators also marched to the nearby Sněmovní street, on which the Chamber of Deputies is located. According to the Czech News Agency, a large screen, transmitting live debates within the Chamber, was set up on the square.
