Honest Guide creator Janek Rubeš faces lawsuit over Prague beer controversy

Janek Rubeš, author of the popular Honest Guide videos that warn foreign visitors about all kinds of scams in the Czech capital, is facing legal action over a video titled How They Work Magic in a Prague Pub with Beer. The video, shot together with Jan Mikulka, highlights how a restaurant in Prague’s Malá Strana district served beer poured from plastic bottles, despite signage and taps indicating a completely different brand —a practice he described as misleading at best. The restaurant’s owner, who claims the video damaged her business reputation, has filed a lawsuit demanding the removal of the video and an apology, along with financial compensation.
