Heavy storms to hit most parts of Czechia on Saturday
Meteorologists have issued a severe storm warning for most parts of the Czech Republic from Saturday afternoon throughout the night, which can be accompanied by torrential rain, hail and gusts of wind of up to 90 kilometres per hour.
The belt of rain will gradually move from the southwest to the north of the country. Some areas, especially Prague, Central Bohemia and Liberec could see up to 50 mm of rainfall, which could affect local streams and lead to local flooding. The warning includes a call for people to secure their windows and garden furniture.
