Heavy snow complicating traffic around Czechia

Fresh snow and icy roads are complicating traffic around the country on Saturday, especially in the Moravian-Silesian region. Although maintenance crews have been working around the clock there may be snow drifts and ice on less frequented roads.

Heavy snowfall has already brought up to 20 centimetres of fresh snow in the mountainous areas and more snow is expected in the course of the day. Drivers heading for the mountain regions have been asked to exercise extreme caution. Weather experts have also warned against strong winds.
