Health Minister: third Covid vaccination could begin in mid-September

Inoculation with a third Covid-19 vaccine dose for adults over 65, at-risk populations and essential workers could start in mid-September, Health Minister Adam Vojtěch said in an interview for Prima TV on Sunday. The Czech government is due to discuss approving the third vaccine doses for the target population on Monday.

The Czech Vaccination Society has recommended booster shots for anyone with weakened immune system. According to Mr. Vojtěch, the people will be inoculated an mRNA vaccine, that is either Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna.
