Health insurance company chief to remain in post despite questioned vaccination
The head of the country’s biggest health insurance company, VZP, will remain in the post. Zdeněk Kabátek had come under pressure after reports that he had received an unmerited priority vaccination against Covid-19.
The VZP’s board of administrators said on Monday that they supported him and did not regard his actions as contravening internal rules. The chair of the board said Mr. Kabátek had been vaccinated at the recommendation of his doctor over an unspecified diagnosis.
